So the Republicans are starting a sham impeachment trial.

I can’t help but burst out laughing. Republicans are hoping that somehow, among the various explicit photos of Hunter Biden is some evidence of corruption or collusion to taint Joe Biden with.

Joe Biden’s disapproval rating went down more than 3 points AS SOON as the impeachment trial was announced, so I encourage Republicans to continue their endeavor. Something’s bound to come up!

Jokes aside, there is a grain of truth in the Republican accusations against Joe Biden. Most of it is nonsense, yes, but the allegation that Hunter Biden has benefitted from the fact that his father was the Vice President and now President of the United States is obvious.

And, no, Hunter Biden selling artwork for over a million dollars to Democratic donors and getting appointed to a board of a Ukrainian energy company despite having no experience isn’t okay, it’s corruption. It is blatantly obvious that various individuals are trying to get through to the President by wining and dining his son. Anyone suggesting otherwise is delusional.

This is where I struggle with Democrats, because when I bring this up, they usually pivot to Donald Trump. Well, what about Ivanka? What about Jared Kushner? 

I don’t defend Ivanka Trump or Jared Kushner; the two were extremely corrupt. They meddled family with business and politics, including cutting deals with the disgusting Saudi royal family. Their corruption was far worse than the Hunter Biden situation. 

But why do I have to bring up Trump to discuss Hunter Biden? I’m not talking about Trump; I’m talking about Hunter Biden, and that his current…enterprises, shall we say, at the very least give off the obvious stench of corruption.

Why is it so difficult for Democrat voters to admit this? The idea is supposed to be that corruption is bad, not “corruption is bad until our guy does it.” I can say that what Trump’s family did was awful, while still admitting that what Hunter Biden is doing, while not nearly as bad, is still bad. Democrats aren’t dunking on Trump by sidestepping the Hunter conversation—they’re implicitly acknowledging that they know it’s bad and that they want to avoid the topic.

In summary, Republicans are clowns, corruption is bad, and Democrats need to acknowledge the truth about Hunter Biden.
